Nature’s bounteous gifts were among the many features of this outstanding concert, including the music that formed the theme.
On the hillside grew a lovely rose, a friend amid the wild;
the sun and wind did bless the rose . . . AND NATURE SMILED
It was beautiful in every respect - a delightful mix of nine lovely voices owned by nine lovely ladies singing lovely music that varied in both tone and cadence.

There were a number of true highlights, not the least of which were different arrangements of an ancient hymn entitled Cantate Domino. The first was from the 17th century, and while it was far from a chant, it was magnificently harmonic. The second was a very modern arrangement, different in pulse, but identical in text and no less reverend and compelling. The entire ensemble was an enchanting combination of poise and pulchritude. The macho MEN had their say the year before, but exactly as they feared, the ladies, even though they Grumble Too Much, nevertheless got the last word.
