Just three months and three days after the horror of September 11, Olympia Choral Society featured a song in this Christmas concert entitled Remembrance, dedicated to the victims of that tragedy and their families.

More than ever we needed the solace of This Peaceful Night, a beautiful arrangement of Silent Night, Joy to the World, and Let There Be Peace on Earth, arranged by our own Terry Shaw.

Once more we were honored by the presence of the Olympia Youth Chorus, under the direction of Cynthia Dinsmore. The peace of our beloved country was shattered by the tragic events that took so many lives at the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and in a farmer’s field in rural Pennsylvania. This concert honoring the solemnity and joy of the Christmas season served in most timely fashion to restore some modicum of domestic tranquility to our grieving nation.
