Much like the humble stable of so many generations ago, Safeplace is a refuge for troubled and endangered women. What sweeter music can there be that that which benefits an organization devoted to the protection of the domestic and sexual violence? It was in this concert that the Olympia Youth Chorus, under the direction of Cynthia Dinsmore, was introduced to OCS audiences.

It was a wonderful relationship that has blessedly continued through every subsequent Christmas concert. This concert also introduced Franz Biebl’s masterful Ave Maria. The music of the season was made all the sweeter by the thought that through our unified efforts, the world would be made more beautiful for troubled women!
